Oh, you want more?
Music
The Beatles are my favorite band, said and done. My favorite song, however, is "Greensleeves" (although "A Day In The Life" takes a close second). I like rock and roll, punk, emo, ska, indie rock of all flavors, folk, country, bluegrass, a capella, showtunes, jazz, and a little bit of this and that. I like it live and I like it loud, and I will listen to anything once.
The last live show I went to was: Steel Tigers Of Death and Hearseburner at the Sunset Tavern. Who says punk is dead?
The last CD I bought was: Motion City Soundtrack, Even If It Kills Me.
Movies
I like the Coen Brothers, Tim Burton (sometimes), Kevin Smith, Rian Johnson, and Jean-Pierre Jeunet. I like Gabriel Byrne, Catherine O'Hara, Julianne Moore, Maggie Smith, Wallace Shawn, Mattieu Kassovitz, Kenneth Branagh, and a number of others. I love The Princess Bride, Labyrinth, City of Lost Children, Stand By Me, The Goonies, The Boondock Saints, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and Brick. I like Shakespeare, Wilde and Wodehouse adaptations; I am an admitted Anglophile. I like Rocky Horror Picture Show as a spectacle as much as a movie. The best films I have seen recently were The History Boys and Once.
Literature
I love urban fantasy and trashy romance novels. My top five favorite books of all time are The Hobbit, The Outsiders, Le Petit Prince, War for the Oaks, and Blankets (by Craig Thompson). I like Jane Yolen, Roald Dahl, Shel Silverstein, Will Shetterly, Emma Bull, Terri Windling, Jane Lindskold, Charles de Lint, and Nora Roberts. I like writers who are funny: David Sedaris and Wil Wheaton. I like series and shared worlds: Harry Potter, Bordertown, Liavek.
Stage
I did a lot of theater in school, and though acting is no longer a part of my life, I still love the theater. I have been in the following plays: Oliver!, Pinocchio (Honest John), The Wind in the Willows, Bye Bye, Birdie (Mae Peterson & Ursula Merkle), The Music Man, Wonderful Town (Violet Shelton), The Philadelphia Story (Sandy), and You Can't Take It With You (Mrs. Kirby). Shows I have never had the pleasure of being in but love all the same include The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Rent, Les Miserables, Into the Woods, and Thornton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeth. I love Shakespeare, particularly A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing, and Love's Labors Lost.
Teevee
I used to say all the good shows were cancelled, citing Star Trek, Red Dwarf, Mr. Show, and The Young Ones as my examples. However, slowly but surely TV has been creeping back into my good graces with some really awesome shows. Pushing Daisies is nothing short of amazing, and Lost is a jerk but has me suckered.
Comics
In print, I like Blue Monday, Snakepit, Runaways, Scott Pilgrim, and all that good stuff over at Young American Comics. As far as graphic novels go, Blankets, Geisha, and Lost at Sea are at the top of my list. I like Craig Thompson, Chynna Clugston, Brian K. Vaughan. Online, I like everything listed on my links page.
Spare time
I spend an inordinate amount of time online. I go to rock shows, hang out in diners, work, read, write and watch movies over and over so I can quote them beligerently. I scour my local used book store for anything by a handful of authors I like, and buy them by the armfull.
Etc.
I love costumes, foreign accents, and being on stage. I like singing in public, and thereby I like karaoke. I like interviewing musicians and making zines about it. I like quoting things. I like making comics for fun and not profit. I give spare change to buskers.
